International Functional Neuroanatomy Workshop “Introduction for Neurofeedback Therapists” – Online

European Biofeedback Foundation BFE, one of the four main neurofeedback and biofeedback organizations in the world, is organizing a workshop titled “Functional neuroanatomy, the foundation for successful therapy: combining neurofeedback and biofeedback interventions” online.

Date: March 2, 9 and 16

Time: 18:30 to 23:30 (Iranian time)

In this workshop, the focus is on understanding the functions of each of Brodmann’s areas and how the networks between these areas relate to thinking, feeling and behavior. There are several major networks in the brain that cause many Brodmann areas that are far from each other to be involved in a given syndrome or disorder. The symptoms that characterize the disorders are related to the functioning of Brodmann’s areas and brain networks; The symptoms found in various disorders such as problems in attention span, executive functions (including memory and learning), emotions (including anxiety and depression) can be matched with these areas and networks.

This work is done by analyzing brain networks, examining EEG brain waves, QEEG brain map, ERP event-related potential, HRV heart rate variability and LORETA deep brain activity, and examples of clients with concussion disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, Learning disability LD, Asperger’s, autism and depression are discussed.

The instructors of this course, Dr. Michael Thompson and Dr. Linda Thompson, are world-renowned neurofeedback and biofeedback experts who received the AAPB Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback Distinguished Scientist Award in 2016.
