BVP/HR Blood Pressure Biofeedback Sensor

Blood pressure biofeedback sensor is another sensor that can be used to measure HRV heart rate variability. Blood Volume Pulse consists of an infrared light that passes through the surface of the skin and measures the reflected light.

The information that can be obtained with this sensor, such as heart rate, the interval between two beats, HRV heart rate variability, can help specialists in evaluating the patient’s condition and determining the appropriate treatment.

Thought Technology‘s blood pressure biofeedback sensor is another sensor that can measure HRV heart rate variability. Blood Volume Pulse consists of an infrared light passing through the surface of the skin and measuring the reflected light. This amount varies based on the amount of blood under the skin. With each heart beat, there is more blood under the skin (blood reflects red light and absorbs the rest of the colors) and thus more light is reflected. Between two heartbeats, the amount of blood decreases and more red light is absorbed.

The information that can be obtained with this sensor, such as heart rate, the interval between two beats, HRV heart rate variability, can help specialists in evaluating the patient’s condition and determining the appropriate treatment.

This sensor is compatible with all ProComp neurofeedback devices.
